Week 2 - Day 2

MORE VISUAL RESEARCH!!! How does one research comedy and dark comedy? I'll tell you what NOT to search up on google, don't search up dark comedy because there's a LOT of stuff in there I could've gone on without EVER knowing. SO, in conclusion, dark comedy requires actually insiders knowledge. Without that, you're basically up a creek without a paddle where the end leads to a WATERFALL!!! Yeah, no.

Anyway, after some quick clarification with Keat, I figured I'd just google some family-safe visuals, like Winnie the Pooh, Lilo and Stitch, Kim Possible...and throw in some Alice in Wonderland because, why not? I mainly looked at character styles and background designs and this is what I got!

I'm going to try for some realism in my background but I'm not too fussed about it since the whole point of the animation is the actual 3D and not the aesthetics of the surroundings. We'll see how modelling and rigging goes, though...No promises.

And...that's the concept development DONE!! BOOYAH! I'll move on to character model sheets in a new post aptly named: 'CHARACTER MODEL SHEET'. I'll post it up tomorrow along with other stuff...

Next on the list is the CAKEEEEE! Which I will do tomorrow as well. And also some texture swatches? I'll figure it out along with the cake, or something.
